News from the Primary Coordinator

Welcome back to term 4! I hope that everyone had a great long weekend! We had one of the busiest terms in term 3 with our school concert, incursions, excursions and camp for upper.

This term we started off with having our Parent Teacher Interviews. Thank you to all parents who were able to meet with their child’s teacher. Parent/Teacher communication is very important for your child’s well-being and definitely helps with their achievements at school. Parents are able to contact the office at any time to make an appointment to see their child’s teacher at a time that suits both parent and teacher.

This term the Year 3 and 4’s will be going to Portsea for their very first camp which they are very excited about. We had the Year 3’s go to the Werribee Open Range Zoo and also get up close and personal to wild animals at school including baby crocodiles!

We had the Year 4’s look at toys and the way in which they work (as part of physical science) and they had an incursion where they could get involved in lots of hands on activities to help them better understand how simple machines work.

The Year 5’s this term will have the opportunity to take part in applying for School Captaincy for 2018. The students have been informed and those who are interested will be able to prepare their speeches for Week 6.

This term we will have the Year 6’s Graduation Ceremony. The Ceremony will take place at the Dingley International on Tuesday the 5th of December. All Year 6 parents must RSVP by Friday the 17th of November.

I wish everyone a lovely term full of lots of fun and learning!
